Weddings & Functions

Francolin Creek has the full facilities and expert ability to cater for a range of function requirements for up to 140 guests. We welcome all weddings, birthday celebrations and any other function you might require.

We also offer conferencing facilities, perfect for a staff team-building stay-over, and for the entertaining of clients for up to 60 people per day.

The tranquil, lakeside, thatched venue located next to the large willow trees has water flowing on both side of the structure and creates the most peaceful and romantic setting for the exchanging of vows.

While the bride and groom take photos, guests can take a walk up the rolling lawn towards the reception venue where canapés and sundowners can be enjoyed with the rolling grasslands and beautiful lake as the backdrop.

Reception venue
The beautiful reception hall at Francolin Creek is ideal for a wedding with up to 140 guests and offers the following facilities:

  • 14 10-seater rectangular tables. Other size tables are available in the event of more than 140 guests
  • Chairs with white chair covers
  • White table cloths and serviettes
  • Stainless steel cutlery, white crockery, salt and pepper sellers
  • Wine, champaign and water glasses along with glass jugs
  • Choice of two types of vases
  • All equipment required for the preparation and serving of the meal
  • Two cool rooms
  • Cattleman’s bar and lounge

All other items must be hired at the clients’ own expense.

The Francolin Creek management team will organise and do the catering themselves, and we will help you choose a menu that will best suite your style and budget.

Bar & Alcohol
Full bar facilities are available – and you can choose whether to run an open or a cash bar service.
A large variety of wines and sparkling wines are available for purchase

Accommodation at Francolin Creek during Wedding / Function
14 Double rooms accommodating 30 guests.
Bush camp with 4 safari tents, sleeping 8 guests.
The cottage at the nearby Klipkraal farm (also owned by Francolin Creek) is available for the bride and her retinue to use in preparation before and after the wedding.
We are also able to advise you on other accommodation in the area for guests that are unable to stay at Francolin Creek.

Décor & Music
Décor, flowers, music and other entertainment to be arranged by the client. We can recommend service providers in the area.


  • Basic venue charge: R8 000
  • 4 course menu: R300 pp
  • Accommodation (incl. Continental breakfast): R580 pps
  • If all rooms are not fully booked, the balance must be settled by the person responsible for the function

Extra Night:

  • Self-catering:  R400 pp
  • Accommodation including braai/breakfast and light lunch: R750 pp.


  • Minimum Deposit of R8 000 to confirm the booking.
  • Final numbers must be confirmed 3 weeks prior to the function.
  • Accommodation payable week before the event.
  • Balance payable day after the function
